Saiemeh Wahidi

Saiemeh Wahidi is a Ph.D. student in Communication Studies and a debate coach for the British Parliamentary Debate team at KU. She began debating at Heart University in Afghanistan in 2018, where she earned numerous awards, including Afghanistan National Debate Tournament Best Speaker, later coaching her university’s team and receiving the Best Judge Award of the season. In 2022, she co-founded KU’s British Parliamentary Debate Team with fellow coaches and the support of KU Debate’s leadership. Saiemeh now works to expand the program, train students, and judge online and in-person debate tournaments.
